And still we craft on...!

Today has been a lovely sunny day and after a little craft shopping, my Mum, sister and I sat down for yet another crafting marathon! After purchasing the new Dovecraft Christmas papers, which are gorgeous,-if you haven't seen them check out Trimcraft!-we couldn't wait to start crafting with them! Rather than just crafting today, we each set a challenge. My Mum's was to make an Oriental card with flowers, Lindsay's was to make a card without using ink, flowers and buttons and mine was to make a card using three patterned papers and it must contain some ribbon or flowers! Our challenges are below! Hope you enjoy looking!

Here is my Mum's card for her challenge-an oriental card with flowers. She has used a gorgeous fan stamp, some oriental papers from a create and craft pack and some Prima flowers attached with some oriental brads from Papermania.

This is my Mum's entry for Lindsay's challenge-not to use ink, flowers or buttons! She has used the Paddington Bear stamp free this month with Quick Cards Made Easy magazine, coloured in with Dovecraft pens. He is sooo cute!!

And here is my Mum's entry for my challenge-to use three patterned papers and to use either flowers/ ribbons. She has used a gorgeous Joanna Sheen stamp and a cuddly buddly greeting stamp. She has coloured the main image in with distress inks and has mounted it on Dovercraft papers. Finished off with some Prima flowers! This baby is adorable!

This card is Lindsay's card for her own challenge-to use no inks, flowers or buttons! She has used a Joanna Sheen stamp and coloured it in with Whispers pens. She has very cleverly made a frame for her image tucking the card into the corners! She has also used the new Dovecraft Christmas papers which are scrumptious! The tag on the ribbon also is out of the paper pack and she has finished it off with some Papermania brads.

This is Lindsay's card for my Mum's challenge-an oriental card with flowers. She has used a Woodware stamp and coloured her in with distress inks. She has mounted her onto some bassil bling cardstock and has added some gorgeous bright flowers from Prima secured onto the card with some Papermania brads! Love this image-it is so sweet!

This is Lindsay's card for my challenge-use three patterned papers and some flowers or ribbon. She has used a cute Tilda stamp and has paper pieced her with one of her patterned paper being her dress. She has then mounted her onto another of the new Dovecraft papers and cut another piece of patterned paper acting as a type of ribbon near the bottom of the card. She has finished it off with some Prima flowers and some buttons.

Here is my card for my challenge-use three patterned papers and flowers or ribbons. I used a Penny Black Christmas stamp with some very cute hedgehogs which I coloured in with distress inks. I also used the new Dovecraft Christmas papers and mounted them onto some silver mirri card so you could appreciate each pattern as they were merging into each other before! Then I finished it off with some flowers and a simple sentiment. This is the layout for the Sketch Saturday challenge which I have had a go at today. I liked it so much I thought I would have another go! I shall post my entry later as it is also my card for my Mum's challenge as it is in an oriental style!
This is my card for Lindsay's challenge-not to use inks, flowers and buttons. I have used the new Dovecraft papers and have cut one of the sheets down to make three little toppers. I mounted them onto some gold mirri board and finished it off with some ribbon down the side. It is quite a simple card but I really like the effect! These papers are soo cute-once you see them you will have to have some so be warned!

Hope you have enjoyed looking through our cards! Sorry the photos aren't too good. My camera doesn't want to play at the minute! Hehe! It would be lovely to hear your comments!xx
