A rainy day crafting...

The weather has been terrible here today and as I am still recovering after a chest infection, I thought I'd take part in some more challenges again this week, rather than braving the elements!

My first card is for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge which is 'Pesky Critters' this week. My choice of image was definitely inspired by my 'pesky' little cat at Christmas time, he does something very similar to this little cat! It is also their third birthday! Happy birthday! So there are some amazing prizes up for grabs if you join in on their blog hop challenge...go take a look, I will be 'hopping' after I've finished this post!

My second card is for the Winter Wonderland challenge which is 'Christmas Flowers'. I have used one of my new Christmas images from Pollycraft. They are only 49p at the moment! What a bargain....so I bought 7 this morning and absolutely loved them! For the challenge I have used Christmassy colours to make my flowers as well as using some poinsettia paper which I have highlighted with my clear Sakura pen...not sure if the camera has picked it up very well! Taking part each week with Winter Wonderland is definitely helping me get ahead with my Christmas cards this year!

My third card is for the Lili of the Valley challenge. The challenge on their blog this week is to 'Bring on the Music'. I have been having a rummage through my old stash this week (hence the post below with my Snowman ATCs) and found these great little images from Lili of the Valley! I bought them years ago so was pleased to be able to use them, another simple card but at Christmas sometimes less is more! I used distress ink just to give a bit of colour to my sentiment (not sure if I like it or not) and used some stickles to bring out the snow a little.

Yet again, another easel card here....they really are my faves at the mo and so easy to make. This is for the Cute Card Thursday challenge which is to make your card using a colour of a birthstone (I chose Ivory) and the A Spoonful of Sugar challenge which is 'Splish Splash', anything to do with water. I have used one of my Sassy Studio Designs (who have some great new Twilight and Harry Potter images if you are a fan!)...I have tried to use papers that may look like a luxurious bathroom too. I'd also like to enter this into the Sassy Studio Designs chalenge which is to 'Bling It Up'...I am hoping my card candy which look blingy will pass for the challenge!

My next card is for the challenge over at Just Magnolia this week which is 'Paper Piecing' your images. I haven't used this technique for ages, so really enjoyed having a go at it again. Another easel card, all pink and girly this time. I'd quite like a top made out of the paper I used for her dress....lol! I used my cookie Tilda and I usually use her for Christmas cards. I think she looks good in pink and brown and so I think I will vary my use of her a little more! Lol!

My final card is for the Sketch Saturday challenge, once again a fabulous sketch and one I will continue to use. The prize is some fabulous Pollycraft images so go take a look and join in! I'd also like to enter it into the Papertake Weekly Challenge which was to make a card for a man or boy. I have used another fabulous Pollycraft image that I purchased this morning and have used my favourite colour combination for Christmas cards. He is a little sweetie and I love the snowman too. I have used a little bit of stickles to bring out the snow a bit and the sentiment is a digi-stamp from Cuddly Buddly. I think I know the little boy I will be giving this too when it gets nearer to Christmas!

Finally, it is my third blogiversary on the 7th July and I have some candy up for grabs! Click here or on the picture in the sidebar if you would like to enter! It is open to all who have a blog!

Thought my Snowman CD and stamps might have been here to play with but unfortunately postie didn't bring them to me today :( Should be here for my crafting next weekend though...I have a friend's wedding to go to on Saturday though, (can't wait, love weddings!) so my crafting will have to wait till Sunday!

Thanks for visiting and looking at my cards...hope you like them!

Hugs
